Overview
A sweet family in Laurel Heights, San Francisco is seeking a full-time live-out (or live-in) nanny (or nanny/family assistant) for their two daughters ages 7-years-old and 3-years-old. They are flexible on the schedule and the role in general; if a candidate wants to live-out, live-in full-time, live-in Monday-Friday only, etc. they can accommodate that. They just want the right fit and someone who would like to ideally commit to 2+ years. The key hours they need help is from 7am-9am and 3pm-5:30pm. Everything else is flexible. If the candidate to hire wants to work a full day then they would incorporate family assistant duties for during the day hours. If the candidate wants to only work mornings and evenings, they can have the time off during the day when the children are in school.
Responsibilities
- Helping with the mornings of getting the children off to school and the afternoon duties of getting the children home from school and the after-school routine
- Playing with the children
- Organizing toys
- Doing school pick-ups and drop-offs
- Family assistant duties include doing laundry for the family, ordering groceries, doing returns, some meal prep, organizing things around the home, etc.
- The family does employ a cleaning service so there are no formal housekeeping duties required for this role, apart from keeping things tidy and organized around the home
- There is occasional travel desired, but not required, for this role as well
Requirements
- Someone kind, warm, and a role model for their children
- Values safety, is fun, has good energy, has a bit of silliness, someone who knows how to bring calmness, someone who provides a sense of structure, is a team-player, and someone who will incorporate how the parents desire the children to be raised- such as no time-outs and treating the children as proper individuals
- The candidate to hire must be a licensed driver with a safe driving record and a car can be provided for duties related to work
- The Mother-in-Law does spend time with the family in the household as well so the candidate to hire must be comfortable working around other family members in the home
- There is no beef-eating in the home. The youngest child has a peanut allergy.
Salary and Benefits
- Live-in accommodations include a bedroom and bathroom on a separate basement floor (in about 9 months they may have an ADU for the candidate to reside in)
- If full time:
- 2 weeks vacation
- 5-7 holidays off
- Healthcare stipend
