Overview
A lovely family in San Francisco, California is seeking a weekend nanny to join their team to care for their 6-year-old twin boys. One of the boys is on the spectrum, so candidates must have great experience with this. The general daily schedule for the nanny will be ‘wake up through bedtime,’ with a 24/7 mindset during the shift, for a total of 48 hours guaranteed per weekend. The position is live-in while on duty, and live-out when off duty. The ideal candidate will be local or within an easy commute to the Marina Disctrict in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
- Full childcare for your shift, maintaining the schedule and planning active and engaging activities
- Transportation to and from activities, play dates, and outings
- Coordinating schedules, activities
- Coordinating and maintaining care for their son who is Autistic; including keeping up with his programs, and therapies, and taking instruction for following those practices to maintain cohesive care
- Preparing snacks and meals for the kids
- Managing the tidiness and organization of kid spaces and belongings
- Child-related laundry and ironing when needed
- Bath and bedtime
- Coordinating with the other nanny
Qualifications
- Someone who understands kids, and can redirect each of the boys when needed
- Warm, caring, and truly loves being a nanny
- Sporty, active, and able to kick around a soccer ball with the boys
Requirements
- MUST HAVE experience working with Autistic children, preferably boys
- Must be able to cook healthy meals for the boys
- Energetic, and able to keep up with very active 6-year-old boys
- Travel ready: must have a current and valid passport and experience traveling with families
- Driver’s license and clean driving record
- Confident swimming skills
- Team player with excellent communication, you will sometimes be splitting duty with Mom if the boys have activities scheduled at the same time
- Comfortable with pets, the family is very pet friendly and has one small dog
- Infant/child CPR and First-Aid certified, or willing to certify
- Trustline certified, or willing to certify
- Legal to work in the US
