Overview
A kind and joyful family in downtown NYC is seeking a temporary nanny to assist with the care of their daughters, age 1 and 3. The dates for this role will be mid-November through March, with the exact dates to be coordinated with the chosen candidate. The hours for this role will be Monday through Friday, 8am-7pm, with flexibility for 1-2 later evenings per week. There may be some travel during the work term, so candidates should be willing and able to travel if needed.
Responsibilities
- Creating a playful and engaging environment for the children
- Accompanying the elder child to school and the younger child to scheduled activities
- Overseeing mealtimes and preparing children's meals as necessary (the family does have a chef, but there will be some child-related meal preparation)
- Packing and unpacking for travel
Qualifications
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Ability to enter a home with an existing structure and schedule, and keep things running smoothly
- Kind, with a good sense of humor
- Understanding of when to step in and out
- Hard-working and responsible
- Comfortable working on a team- the family has a full-time housekeeper and a chef, and both parents are involved
Requirements
- Fully Covid vaccinated
- Comfortable working with a dog in the home
- Confident swimming skills (a plus but NOT a requirement)
- Fully available for the required term
