Overview
A grounds manager is sought for a family's property in County, NY. The role will report directly to the Principal and candidates will be responsible for maintaining the estate's landscaping and exterior features. This role is available to pair with KP361 if domestic couples wish to apply.
Responsibilities
- Oversight over landscaping staff
- Sourcing contractors
- Comparing and accepting proposals
- General oversight of construction
- Liaise with design, architectural and contractor teams to ensure proper execution of principal’s vision
- Liaise and source all pertinent vendors to ensure five-star finishes, cutting edge technology and green efficiencies
- Supervise and/or assist vendors with assigned work – quality control and efficiency of use are essential
- Relationship management with key vendors associated with the above mentioned day-to-day facilities and scheduled maintenance services
- Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of all outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, walkways, and other landscape features.
- Coordinate seasonal landscaping needs, including planting, pruning, and snow removal with vendors.
- Maintain all outdoor equipment and ensure its optimal functioning.
- Environmentally friendly approaches; background in sustainability, less toxic pest control concepts etc.
- Invasive Species Control Management Plan (environmentally friendly)
Qualifications
- Minimum of five to ten years relevant work experience
- Ability to be hands on
- Database management skills
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Critical eye and ability to judge levels of finishes
- Strong project management skills
- Experience preparing budgets and a history of delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Willing to roll up sleeves and assist with ad hoc requests

Salary and Benefits
