Overview
A highly skilled and proactive estate and facilities manager to oversee the management of a large estate on Eastern Long Island, as well as an apartment in New York City. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in property management, maintenance, and team leadership. The successful candidate will ensure all properties are maintained in top working order, coordinating a range of activities from routine maintenance to complex home improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Property Management: Oversee the daily operations of the estate and properties, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor direct reports, including groundskeepers and housekeepers, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Maintenance Oversight: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all equipment and systems, including lighting, smart technology, security systems, and pool maintenance.
- Vendor Management: Identify, hire, and oversee external vendors for various projects and maintenance tasks, ensuring quality work and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for all maintenance, home improvement, and construction projects, providing regular reports and updates to ownership.
- Project Coordination: Oversee home improvement and construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Emergency Preparedness: Ensure all systems, including security and emergency protocols, are functional and up to date.
- Technology Integration: Stay current on smart home technologies and implement systems that enhance the properties' functionality and security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate management, facilities management, or related roles.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Salary and Benefits
- $175,000 - $250,000 + full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k)
