Overview

A down to earth Upper East side family, is seeking a newborn care specialist to help care for their 3 month old baby girl until their full-time nanny can start. The role starts 8/23 and will go until 10/14. The role can be 5 or 6 days per week working 20 hrs per day.

Responsibilities

Care and engagement of their baby
Education of the parents about best practices for appropriate development
Guidance with breastfeeding/pumping
Maintain current sleep and feeding schedules
Carrying out any preferences of the parents.
Duties will also include light housekeeping related to the baby when time allows, such as cleaning bottles and the baby’s laundry

Qualifications

Family is looking for someone who will be sweet and playful
They would like someone who will follow their current routine of minimal sleep intervention
Warm, and easy going
The ideal candidate should have a balanced personality—they should be confident and knowledgeable about what baby needs and be gracious and open to following parents’ guidance.
The NCS should balance attentive care for the baby with the discretion to give the couple “alone time” with the baby when desired.

Requirements

Available from 8/23-10/14
Customary vaccinations (e.g., flu, TDAP, MMR) and an NDA will be required

Salary and Benefits

$600 daily
