Overview
A sweet family on the Upper East Side seeks a fantastic nanny for their 3.5-year-old son to begin in late February 2025. The role will be full-time and live-out with a schedule of Monday through Friday 9am-6pm or 10am-6pm; they can be flexible for start time and guarantee 40 hours per week. There may be some days on occasion they would want the nanny to start later and stay later so they can go out to dinner in the evening. Their current nanny has been with them since the child was an infant, but is now leaving to be with her own family. There will likely be a 5-day overlap of "training" with the current nanny when the role begins. There are no pets in the home; the child is potty-trained; the child is a great eater and has no allergies.
Responsibilities
- Laundry for the child
- Some meal and snack prep for the child
- Cleaning up after the child, including his room and play-spaces
- Taking the child to different activities within a 10-15 block radius of the family's residence after school
- Taking the child to play-dates after school
- School pick up and at times, school drop off but the parents like to do the drop off in the mornings as well. The child attends school Monday through Friday 8:30am-12:30pm and it is within 1 block of the family's residence
- Some potential summer travel; they have a family home in PA and family in FL. Therefore, at times traveling/living-in while traveling would be needed at times.
Qualifications
- The ability to speak Tagalog is a bonus
- Being a licensed driver is a bonus (with a clean driving record); there is no city driving for this role, but the ability to be able to drive when not in the city would be appreciated
Requirements
- The family may eventually expand their family so a nanny who would like to grow with the family and care for more children in the future is desired
- Athletic and fit as the role requires chasing after an active toddler
- Energetic and outgoing while still being able to read a room
- Someone who can stay overnight with the child alone if needed
- First Aid/CPR Certified or if expired, being willing to get re-certified before the job starts
