Overview
A growing family living on the Upper East Side is in search of a full-time nanny/family assistant to help run their home. The schedule will be 4 days one week and 5 days the next (example below). The family spends time at their weekend home so the candidate must be able to live- in during that time which will include time during the Summer. The family is willing to be flexible on the schedule for the right fit. 4 Day work week: Monday OFFTuesday OFFWednesday OFFThursday 8am-8pm (12 hours)Friday 10am-8pm (10 hours)Saturday 12pm-10pm (10 hours) Sunday 11am-7pm (8 hours) - can be flexible on time 5 Day work week: Thursday 8am-8pm (12 hours)Friday 12pm-6pm (6 hours)Saturday 3pm-10pm (7 hours)Sunday OFFMonday OFFTuesday 8am-7pm (9 hours)Wednesday 12pm-8am (6 hours)
Responsibilities
- All baby-related items
- Washing bottles
- Preparing meals and snacks for baby
- Laundry, etc
- Light housekeeping
- Vacuuming
- Wiping down surfaces
- Dishes
- Loading dishwasher
- Laundry and folding
- Packing and returning boxes as needed (from Amazon, ups, etc)
- Grocery shopping
- Cooking
- Picking up dry cleaning
- Letting dog out if needed
- Dog sitting from time to time
- Watering plants
- Taking out trash
- Sweeping patio
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be:
- Engaging and energetic- the child loves to run around and play outside
- Active as the school is a 30-minute walk away
- Collaborative, flexible, and easy-going- Mom is very involved and needs someone who can roll with things and views this as a partnership
- Willing to help with some of the above tasks
Requirements
- Limited phone use- this is not a job for phone or clock watchers
- Must love dogs- the family has a small hypoallergenic dog who is still adjusting to having a baby around
