Live Out Ambitious Housekeeper Based in Hampshire – June 2025 Start
Our client is seeking a dedicated, proactive and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join the household staff of a large, formal private residence in Hampshire.
You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the main house, outbuildings, staff accommodation and guest cottages to the highest of standards. The estate operates at an exceptionally high standard of service and is fully staffed, including Butlers, Chefs, Security, and Chauffeurs so a team player is essential.
You must have meticulous attention to detail, excellent time management and an enthusiastic attitude.
Duties include:
- Assisting the House Manager with day-to-day housekeeping operations
- Perform full housekeeping duties, ensuring all areas of the residence are immaculately maintained, including the main house, outbuildings including staff accommodation, studios and guest cottages
- Daily cleaning and upkeep of all areas which includes dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising surfaces
- Laundry management, including washing, ironing, and wardrobe management
- Making beds and regular changing of bed linen
- Polishing silverware and caring for fine furniture, fixtures, and delicate materials
- Ensuring rooms are always presented to an exemplary standard
- Assisting and communicating effectively with the House Manager regarding general household organisation and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a large formal private residence or a 5-star hotel. This is a demanding but rewarding role that suits candidates who are ambitious, willing, and wanting to start their journey in private households. Discretion and confidentiality is paramount.
You must be able to drive and have your own car in order to apply. Whilst there is no direct pet care involved, the family have dogs.

Days/Hours: 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekends
Driving: Yes, essential
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 gross per annum (DOE)
