Our clients are looking for a Domestic Couple to join their team
as a Housekeeper/Cook as well as supporting with maintenance and
gardening on the Estate. This is a busy and varied live-in
position in Gloucestershire. The property is set on a 30 acres
estate. This is a small team with one other full-time
Housekeeper, a part-time Housekeeper, maintenance and gardening
team. This is a close knit, busy household, so being team players
is essential.
The Housekeeper of the couple will work alongside a part-time
Housekeeper who will continue to support the family. Must be a
confident cook for simple family meals (mostly when they have
guests or when the family’s children visit with their families.)
and happy to greet and host guests when they are visiting the
property.
Maintenance of the property will include both indoor and outdoor
tasks as well as supporting other members of the team where
needed. This may involve occasional driving duties, running
errands and supporting in the garden.
The family do entertain and would require both of you to help
front of house informally when they have guests, the house can be
either very busy or quiet so flexibility is key.
They have dogs and cats so you must be comfortable around
animals. Both parties of the couple must drive.
Duties outlined but not limited to:
* Hands on cleaning, laundry and ironing to a high standard
* Family cooking and helping with preparation
* Front of house duties
* General household maintenance
* Handyman duties (such as hanging pictures, painting, changing
bulbs etc)
* Basic gardening maintenance alongside the Gardener (such as
mowing, weeding)
* Pet care (3 dogs & 3 cats)
* House and pet sitting when the couple are away
* Indoor swimming pool and tennis court maintenance
* Driving duties and care of cars – you will sometimes need to
drive them to London
* Security of the house when the family are not in residence
Days of work: 5 days per week (including weekends when needed)
the days off will be taken between Monday - Friday. Flexibility
required.
Accommodation: Beautiful 2-bedroom cottage just outside of the
estate, with garden and a garage. Well behaved pets may be
considered.
Salary: £70,000 gross per annum
