Overview
A warm and fun family of five is looking for a full-time family assistant to join them in Miami, FL! They have three outgoing and friendly children, ages 3 to 6, and you’ll be assisting the stay-at-home mom in caring for them. The kids are in school during the day, so the schedule will generally be Monday through Friday, from 10:30am to 6:30pm, totaling 40 hours per week. The morning hours will be dedicated to family assistant tasks, and they are asking for flexibility with scheduling for occasional date nights. The ideal candidate will be proactive, kind, responsible, and must love dogs, as they have one older small dog. Start date: immediate.
Responsibilities
Nanny Responsibilities:
- Picking up the children from school and driving them to activities
- Assisting the children with schoolwork
- Creating engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Organizing outings to enrich and support the children's learning, ensuring they reach their educational milestones
- Preparing snacks and healthy meals
- Collaborating with Mom to tag-team childcare in the afternoons
- Providing childcare while traveling with the family
- Overnight stays may be required when traveling
Family Assistant Responsibilities:
- Grocery shopping and managing household inventory
- Meal prep
- Assisting with household laundry
- Running errands
- Keeping the home tidy (note: a house cleaner comes twice a week, so duties will not involve heavy cleaning)
- Home organization
- Assisting with an upcoming local move
- Managing the family’s calendar
Qualifications
- Team-player mentality
- Organized, proactive, and able to jump in to help out wherever needed with little direction
- Strong communicator and positive attitude
Requirements
- At least 5 years of nanny experience, with a minimum of 2 years working as a family assistant
- Fluent in English
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Passport ready, willing to travel domestically and internationally
- Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be a confident driver
- Non-smoker
- Confident swimmer
- Comfortable with dogs
- Able to work closely with an involved mom as part of a team
- Legally authorized to work in the US
Salary and Benefits
- Hourly rate is $40-$45+/hr, depending on experience
- 2 weeks vacations
