Overview
A wonderful, loving, and playful family in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA is seeking a phenomenal, educated seasoned, full-charge ROTA nanny for their 3 children (ages 7, 4, and 11-months). The family also has a second home in Malibu where the candidate will be required to work from at times. The schedule will be 1-week-on/1- week-off, Monday through Monday with a start time of 9:30am. The candidate will be live-in while working their week, and live-out when not working. While on duty, the candidate will be required to sleep with a baby monitor. Living accommodations will not be provided for off-duty weeks. When in residence, the candidate will have a bedroom with an en-suite bath in the guest house. Immediate start. Local candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- All aspects of full-charge childcare and always ensuring the safety and well-being of the children
- Assist with getting children ready for school
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Schedule play-dates and other activities
- Drive children to school, appointments, and activities in a vehicle provided by the family
- Encourage outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, and exploring nature
- Research pop-ups or fun age-appropriate things to do in the neighborhood
- Incorporate activity-based learning and nurture creativity
- Coordinate with the other nannies to create cohesive and consistent care
- Provide fun and thoughtful transitions for children. Ex: from bath to bedtime or school to home
- Child-related laundry and tidying up of children’s spaces
- Pack/unpack and plan for travel
- Travel domestically with family
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience as a full-charge ROTA nanny
- A professional and kind demeanor with a sense of humor
- Works intuitively and proactively
- Ability to pivot seamlessly with and I’ve got this approach
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A true passion for children and childhood development
- An interest in other cultures and being adventurous with food would be a huge plus
- Outdoorsy and active
- Strong stamina to keep up with small children
- Comfortable and experienced with navigating a high-profile lifestyle
- Works with discretion
- Calm presence
- Team player who can also work autonomously
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must have confident swimming skills in a pool and the ocean
- Degree in early childhood education preferred
- Ability to travel domestically
- Comfortable signing an NDA
- Infant/Child CPR certified
- Trustline Certified, or willing to get certified ASAP
- Legal to work in the US
Salary and Benefits
Annualized pay equaling $125k - $130k plus a year-end bonus.
