Overview
A lovely family with two working parents on the Upper West Side is seeking a part-time or full-time Mandarin-speaking nanny for their four-year-old, who is a fluent Mandarin speaker. The must-have schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 2-6pm, but the family is open to providing full-time hours to the right candidate. The family is seeking someone to start in the beginning of January, but they are open to an earlier start for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Accompany the four-year-old home from school (within walking distance) and to after-school classes and play dates
- Speak with the child exclusively in Mandarin (he speaks fluently) and focus on developing his speaking, reading and writing skills
- Preparing snacks and meals for the child
- Child related laundry and tidying when needed
Qualifications
- Extremely reliable and punctual
- Warm and caring, with a playful energy and high level of engagement
- Understanding of household boundaries as the family is quite private
- Goal oriented- should enjoy setting goals for the child and executing those plans
Requirements
- Fluent in Mandarin
- US work authorization
- Driving is NOT required
- Swimming is NOT required
Salary and Benefits
- $35-40/hr.
