Overview
A semi-retired professional in TriBeCa is seeking a highly experienced part-time chef starting ASAP.
Candidates should note that the role will start in a rental (3,300 square feet), but the client is in the process of renovating her primary residence, which is a much larger property (6,400 square feet). All staff will be based out of this residence by the last quarter of 2025.
Responsibilities
- Candidates will work out of the client’s home, and come 3 x days per week to prepare lunch, dinner & dessert for 1 x adult for all 7 days. Candidates will also be expected to prepare some plain boiled vegetables for the principal’s 2 x dogs, sufficient to spread over 2 x meals per day, 7 days per week
- Candidates will need to follow the Principal’s nutritionist’s guidelines on permissible foods
- The Principal’s CFO issues a company credit card for the procurement of groceries and other necessities
Qualifications
- Candidates must understand nutrition - particularly cooking for someone with high cholesterol
- Since the principal lives alone, she tends not to have a very large appetite, so needs someone who can cook smaller portions, but can be versatile and be willing to be accommodating, as at times she does have guests and so the portion sizes do increase. She would of course try and provide as much advance notice as possible
Requirements
- US passport, Green Card, or EAC

- Ability and desire to foster a safe, supportive environment for all team members, ensuring they respect and value cultural collaboration, communication, and mutual support
