Overview
A lovely family in Los Angeles, California is seeking a ROTA nanny to join their team ASAP to care for their 8-month-old son. The family also has a nanny for their two oldest kids. The general daily schedule for the nanny will be ‘wake up through bedtime,’ on a one-week on/off schedule, 7 days per week. When traveling, the schedule will be 2-weeks-on/off. Flexibility will be needed for night-time coverage and occasional longer-term travel, so a 24/7 mindset is required during the shift and nanny will be in charge of the monitor overnight. The position is live-in while on duty, and live-out when off duty. The family is currently only considering candidates who are local to the Los Angeles area.
Responsibilities
- Full childcare for your shift, maintaining baby's routine and planning age appropriate sensory and engaging activities
- Preparing snacks and meals when needed
- Managing the tidiness and organization of baby spaces and belongings
- Child-related light housekeeping when needed
- Bath and bedtime
- Traveling with the family, both domestically and internationally
- Coordinating with the other nannies
- Creating and maintaining baby's schedule and routine
Qualifications
- Positive attitude
- Calm energy, not super hyper, but able to be engaging and active with the baby
- Kind, warm, caring, and truly loves being a nanny
- Team Player
Requirements
- Must have at least 5 years experience
- Must be flexible and able to navigate parents who are in and out of the home
- Travel ready: must have a current and valid passport and experience traveling with families
- Confident swimming skills
- Confident in Sleep Schedules and maintaining a healthy sleep routine for baby
- Must be comfortable around dogs, the family has one hypoallergenic dog
- Team player with excellent communication
- Infant/child CPR and First-Aid certified, or willing to certify
- Trustline certified, or willing to certify
- Legal to work in the US
