Overview
A family comprised of 2 parents and 1 school-aged child are seeking a professional chef/cook with a culinary degree. The schedule will be full-time Monday through Thursday and Sundays. The meals to be prepared will be breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the week and on Sunday it will be brunch and family-style dinner. During the week, it will also involve preparing the child's school snack and school lunch in the mornings. The family also has 3 dogs that love an occasional fresh meal or a healthy treat. The role can be live-in or live-out; if live-in, there is a private guest house on property.
Responsibilities
- Kitchen management
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Grocery shopping
- Dishes and kitchen cleanup
Requirements
- The candidate to hire must be knowledgeable in a variety of different healthy cuisines and dishes, with food allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions in mind. The child has a dairy/egg allergy and a sensitivity to gluten. The family wants to do a temporary food elimination diet for the child and they will need some help with this as they will need to get creative with the child's food options. The parents eat clean and healthy meals during the week, whereas on Sunday they are open to a little indulgence.
- Able to prepare/cook farm to table organic foods, etc.
