Overview
A kind family of four is seeking a part-time housekeeper for their home in Brooklyn Heights. The schedule for this position is Monday and Thursday 12-5 pm. The family is looking for a September start, after Labor Day.
Responsibilities
- Full cleaning of 1500 sq ft, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home
- Laundry including towels, sheets, and clothes for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Sheets and towels only once a week.
- Occasional ironing or mending if that is in the candidate's skill set, but mending is not necessary
- Light grocery shopping, within walking distance.
- Taking out trash/recycling as needed
- Empty/run the dishwasher if needed.
- Call for dry cleaning drop off or pickup
Qualifications
- While no childcare is needed, must be child-friendly if either of the teenagers are home from school
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks
Requirements
- Comfortable working around 2 friendly dogs in the apartment. No pet care is needed but the dogs will be home during this time
- Legal to work in the US
Salary and Benefits
$30 per hour and guaranteed 10 hours per week
