Overview
First-time parents in Los Angeles, CA, are seeking a superlative live-in or live-out Norland nanny/career nanny, starting in October/November, when their child will be 6-months-old. The schedule will be Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings from 5pm-10pm, then Saturday and Sunday from 9am-10pm (41 hours per week guaranteed), with flexibility required should the family need the candidate to provide this, with notice. This is a semi-formal household and the family values security, privacy and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care for the child, ensuring safety, well-being and development.
- All typical nursery duties will apply
- Collaborate with the parents on feeding, sleeping, and daily routines
- Design a schedule of activities (inside and outside the home) that foster creativity, help the child master fine and gross motor skills, language, numbers etc.
- Simple, healthy food prep
Qualifications
- Must have at least 5 years' verifiable experience
- Candidates should have an educational background in Child Development/ ECE or other relevant field
- Former teachers, Educators, Governesses and seasoned candidates with decades of relevant experience, superlative references and longevity are also welcome to apply
- Additional skills, such as languages, the ability to play a musical instrument, or specific sports, etc. are highly desirable
Requirements
- US passport, Green Card or EAC
- Have extensive infant care experience, be warm and welcoming and possess a respectful and adaptable demeanor
- Be calm, low-key, polished, poised, and composed, with excellent manners
- Be able to read the room - know when to step up and step back, and exhibit a level of sophistication when addressing the family’s friends and broader family
- Candidates must be CPR/First Aid certified and be non-smokers
- Candidates must be passport ready/be willing and excited to travel for up to 4 months at a time, both domestically and internationally.

Salary and Benefits
- $100k-150k DOE
- $200 yearly CPD budget
- 2 x weeks PTO
- Federal holidays - 7 major - New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on a candidate’s regular workday, then they receive it off, paid. These holidays are paid at time and a half if worked (1.5 x their hourly rate).
