Overview
A professional family in the NYC area is looking for an experienced property manager to provide management and oversight of three (3) home properties. All properties are within a 2-hour drive of NYC. This is an active role and schedule will be generally Monday through Friday from 8/8:30am to 5/5:30pm, however the candidate must have a 24/7 mentality and be available as needed when situations arise, as this role will be the first point of contact. All homes are used year-round and should always be family ready.
Responsibilities
- Supervising and/or assisting vendors with assigned work.
- Oversee the operation, repairs, and routine maintenance of the homes and provide regular feedback.
- Contact, screen, propose and oversee vendors. Compare multiple bids, supervise work, review invoices-and track budgets.
- Maintain seasonal routines and procedures for the household interior and exterior needs: landscaping, window washing, power washing, etc.
- Visit properties regularly to assess landscaping, irrigation, and general homes conditions are aligned with family’s standard
- Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs.
- Respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Capable of performing minor household repairs.
- Manage facilities team and vendors
- Liaise teams to ensure proper execution of family’s vision
- Liaise and source all pertinent vendors to ensure quality and pricing aligns with family expectations
- Provide ongoing effective and efficient communication on regular basis
- Manage invoices, budgets and pre-approval processes
- Relationship management with key vendors and current household teams
Qualifications
- Minimum of five to ten years relevant work experience
- Highly organized and sophisticated individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks and strategically prioritize them
- Proactive, energetic, detail-oriented; able to anticipate needs and provide exceptional service in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently and multitask to oversee a multitude of responsibilities and ever-changing list of priorities
- Flexible team player with a “no task too big or too small” attitude
Requirements
- US passport, Green Card or EAC
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and own vehicle
- Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Self-starter and able to see projects from start to finish.
- Adaptable demeanor, able to adjust with little notice.
- Hyper attention to detail and efficient communication required
- Strong written and oral communication
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent relationship skills outstanding references from both current and previous employers.
- Flexible scheduling with ‘24/7’ mentality
