Overview
A warm and loving family of three in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles is looking for a full-time live-in nanny for their infant. The schedule will be discussed with the chosen nanny but they are looking for ideally 5.5-6 days per week until the baby is sleeping through the night (which should be in the next month or so). After that point, the schedule will be a more traditional 5 day work week with 2 days off.
Responsibilities
- Full childcare of one infant including age-appropriate play, walks, and eventually driving to activities and playdates
- Cooking for the child once she is eating solids with family meal prep a bonus but not requirement
- Light housekeeping including sanitizing baby's items and keeping play areas, child's bedroom, and kitchen tidy. There is a housekeeper who comes once a week for deep cleaning
- Restocking household products including fridge, pantry, and baby's items
- Child laundry
- Child-related organizing
Qualifications
- Team player happy to collaborate with involved work from home parents, an assistant, and a housekeeper
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Fluent English speaker with Spanish proficiency or another language a plus.
- Nurturing and passionate about early childhood education
- Energetic and proactive
Requirements
- Pet friendly: the family has 2 large friendly dogs and 1 cat
- Driver's license and clean driving record; car provided for any on the job driving
- US passport and travel ready; the family travels approximately 25% throughout the year with the longest stretches being 2-6 weeks in length
- Extensive experience caring for infants.
- Long-term commitment and stability, as demonstrated by previous employment history.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Confident swimming skills and excited to be in the water with children
- Trustline certification or in the process of becoming certified
