Communicative Head Housekeeper Wanted in Sweden – Start ASAP
We are on the hunt for a Head Housekeeper to join a very high caliber private family home. The residence has fine furnishings, material and clothing and art that need special care and attention.
The household is fully staffed, and you will be working alongside the Estate Manager, House Manager/Butler, Housekeeping team, Maintenance persons and a Gardener. It is imperative that you can work well as a team and are a strong communicator.
Duties included:
- Clean the residence daily
- Make beds, changing linen weekly or more often if necessary
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, toilets, sinks, countertops, doorhandles
- Replenish toiletries and towels
- Empty bins in all areas
- Dust and wipe where appropriate all surfaces, including art
- Vacuum and sweep floors, carpets, and rugs
- Mop high traffic areas daily - kitchen, bathrooms, entrance etc
- Clean kitchen, dishes & all relative tasks associated with a kitchen including removing old produce in refrigerator, bread and keeping all kitchen cabinets, drawers etc clean and organized
- Laundry and ironing, folding according to instructions and the house standards, return clean and folded items to correct places, this includes towels, clothes & other items
- When needed, take the small dog out for a brief walk
- Deep clean according to the existing weekly/monthly/yearly schedule
- Notice and refill when toiletries, worn items and other household supplies need replacing and inform the relevant member of staff
- Manage other housekeepers
This position is rotated with other staff and may be alternating morning shifts, evening, or split shifts at times. Schedules do change depending on the family’s needs, flexibility, and availability to work nights and weekends is a requirement
As the family have multiple properties, the ideal candidate will be willing to travel a few times per year to the family's other homes around Sweden and or Switzerland and France to prepare for arrival and/or service while they are there.
The privacy and safety of the household is of the utmost importance; therefore, it is vital that the Head Housekeeper is discrete and responsible as well as a hard worker who can be flexible with the family’s changing schedule. You must have an EU passport and at least 5+ years’ experience as a private household Housekeeper/Senior Housekeeper.
