House Manager Job
A London-based household is seeking an experienced and highly professional Household Manager to oversee the operations of their private residence. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth running of the household, provide impeccable service, and manage a team of domestic staff. This is a dynamic and demanding role that requires exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Household Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the household to ensure efficiency and discretion.
Develop and maintain household manuals, policies, and procedures.
Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise household staff, including housekeepers, chefs and pet carers.
Schedule and monitor staff duties, rotas, and time off.
Conduct performance reviews and promptly address any staffing issues.
Event Coordination:
Plan and execute private events, dinners, and social gatherings as required.
Liaise with external vendors and service providers to ensure flawless execution.
Financial Oversight:
Manage household budgets, including payroll, expenses, and purchases.
Oversee inventory management, including high-value assets, art, and wine collections.
Negotiate contracts and source suppliers for household services and maintenance.
Property Maintenance:
Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs, working with contractors as needed.
Ensure security systems are monitored, operational and up to date.
Supervise regular, seasonal and deep-cleaning projects.
Personal Assistance:
Provide administrative support to the principals, including scheduling, correspondence, and travel arrangements.
Accommodate specific preferences and requirements of friends and family members.
Act as a point of contact for all household-related inquiries.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a HNW or UHNW household.
Education: Formal training in hospitality, household management, or a related field preferred.
Skills:
Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a discreet and professional demeanour.
Proficiency in managing budgets and household systems.
Knowledge of luxury goods, fine dining etiquette, and cultural protocols.
Attributes:
High attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.
Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel when required.
Requirements:
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check.
Salary - £65,000 - £75,000 GPA
