Overview
A loving family in Atlanta, GA is looking for a live-in or live-out full-time nanny for their 3-year-old son to start in December 2024 or January 2025. The family has two working parents and would love to find someone who can be an extension of them and help care for their son. The ideal general schedule is Monday through Friday, with a split shift of 6am-9am, 2pm-7pm, for 40 hours a week guaranteed. They are willing to be flexible with the schedule for the right candidate. The family values education and creativity and is looking for an educated individual with experience in early childhood development, psychology, and/or education. They would also love to find someone who can bring their personality to the role and develop a great bond with their son.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall care to their son, ensuring his safety and overall wellbeing
- Engage in imaginary play, encourage play-doh creativity, painting, all the things a 3-year-old needs to do to explore curiosity while also ensuring his safety, maintaining the routine and structure, and completing the day-to-day tasks
- Provide fun age-appropriate activities, supervising any activities that might come up, go on walks, encourage developmental play
- Prepare food/meals
- Child related light housekeeping to help maintain an organized space, including laundry, and helping tidy kid spaces
Qualifications
- Someone imaginative, playful, creative, and fun
- Loves the outdoors and encouraging outside play
- Experienced
- Fairly adaptable with sharing space with someone
- Maintain direct communication
- Ideally have experience working with gifted toddlers and/or highly verbal children
- Organized
- Engaging
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional nanny experience
- 4-year degree in child development, psychology, education, or related fields
- Must be equipped to work with an intelligent and independent three-year-old boy and qualified to engage in his physical, emotional, and intellectual development
- Physically able to manage a large toddler that is both physically strong and intelligent while ensuring activities are appropriate for his abilities
- Able to follow the family’s preferred communication style and help him with sensory regulation
- Willing to operate under the same plan and work together to be on the same page for their son’s care
- Must be reliable, dedicated, and have a strong work ethic
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to both educate as well as take guidance
- Must be ok with cats, the family has one cat
Salary and Benefits
- Hourly rate is $30-$40 and based on experience
