TRAVELLING HEAD HOUSEKEEPER
SOUTHEREN IRELAND & OTHER EUROPEAN LOCATIONS – MAY to OCTOBER

Essential Requirements: Previous experience in a formal private household setting. Fluent English written and spoken. Ability to lead from the front and work with the housekeeping teams in all locations. Excellent team player. Freedom for extensive travel. Experience with packing and unpacking essential. EU OR British Passport and driving licence essential.
A wonderful opportunity for a long-term employment based in Southern Ireland in a beautiful rural countryside location, but with extensive travel to other residences in Caribbean, USA and Europe.
This is a large formal fully staffed home where all staff stay very long term. Essential that you have longevity in previous positions too.
This is a “hands on” head housekeeper role, which will include all day-to-day hands-on housekeeping duties, whilst running and maintaining the households to the highest standards. Leading the housekeeping team from the front, working with the team and managing at the same time.
Experience packing and unpacking is essential to this role.
The shifts are morning or evening, 5 shifts a week, either 8am to 4pm or 12noon to 8pm. The working days are on a rotating basis covering 7 days of the week with 2 days off. Any additional days worked when travelling can be accumulated and taken when based in Ireland. The head housekeeper is responsible for the management of the team of housekeepers and will manage rotas etc when travelling between different homes.
You need to be very flexible, be free to travel, and be a good team player with a great eye for detail.
Previous experience of formal house domestic service a big advantage to this vacancy.
Separate accommodation locally will be available when based in Ireland and accommodation on site provided when travelling. Uniformed position.
Salary 50,000 Euros gross per annum. Excellent references, Driving Licence and Fluent English essential. 2025 start with a detailed handover period with the current person.
