Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be working with our fantastic client who are looking to add a experienced Sous Chef to their team.
The Position:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced sous chef to join our clients well-established team and help elevate the restaurant to new heights. We are looking for a seasoned, detail-oriented chef with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach.
As sous chef, you will work closely with the head chef to maintain and raise the standards of the kitchen, lead the small team, and play an active role in daily operations. Your duties will include overseeing ordering, meeting GP targets, developing menus for special events, and implementing new procedures to enhance the kitchen’s efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the head chef with menu development
- Contribute to the day-to-day kitchen operations
- Maintain and continuously improve the highest food preparation standards
- Manage and mentor junior kitchen staff while fostering a positive work environment
- Monitor orders and ensure GP targets are met while using top-quality ingredients
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
Role Requirements:
- Proven experience in Michelin-starred or AA rosette kitchens
- A strong CV demonstrating commitment and longevity in past roles
- Senior-level kitchen management experience
- Excellent leadership and man-management skills
- A positive attitude and “can-do” approach
- Strong culinary foundations paired with creativity
- A passion for delivering excellence in every dish
