A unique opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Chef to join a luxury hotel on an island in Croatia for the upcoming season. This role requires a Chef with a passion for fine dining and a deep knowledge of traditional Croatian and Mediterranean cuisine. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional culinary experiences, meeting the high standards expected by discerning guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve gourmet meals for up to 10 guests daily, with larger groups during events and special occasions.
- Design menus that reflect Croatian and Mediterranean culinary traditions using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
- Deliver dishes with impeccable presentation, enhancing the fine dining experience.
- Provide meals for the internal team when the hotel is not hosting guests, maintaining a positive and proactive approach.
- Maintain a clean, organised kitchen while adhering to all health and safety standards.
Ideal Candidate
- Fluent in both Croatian and English.
- Proven background in high-end or Michelin-starred restaurants.
- Expertise in Croatian and Mediterranean cuisine with a deep understanding of traditional flavours and techniques.
- Capable of leading kitchen operations while collaborating with support staff for smooth service delivery.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on presentation and quality.
- A strong portfolio showcasing fine dining experience and presentation skills.
