Nestled in the heart of Norfolk, our clients luxury gastro restaurant offers an unparalleled dining experience, blending seasonal, locally sourced ingredients with creative culinary artistry. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Head Chef to lead our clients kitchen team, delivering exceptional food that matches our impeccable reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a collaborative and professional environment.
- Menu Development: Design and develop innovative, seasonal menus that align with the restaurant’s ethos, showcasing the best of Norfolk’s local produce.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure every dish meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Budget Management: Oversee food cost control, stock management, and kitchen budgets, ensuring profitability without compromising quality.
- Compliance: Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, health & safety, and food safety regulations.
- Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to source premium ingredients.
- Training & Development: Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering growth and excellence within the team.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Proven track record as a Head Chef in high-end restaurants, preferably with experience in gastro-style dining.
- Passion for Food: A love for creating outstanding dishes that elevate customer experiences.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional management and leadership abilities, with a commitment to team development.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards.
