Schedule as follows with flexibility:
Friday 12:30pm – 9:30pm
Saturday 10:30am – 10:30pm
Sunday 10am – 9pm
Monday 10am – 6pm

Role Overview:
We are seeking a professional housekeeper to work in a private residence in Brentwood, California. The Housekeeper will report to the Family Assistant and work closely with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the household. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain a high level of cleanliness and order throughout the home. This person will also have experience having cleaned and cared for other high-end estates, but also have the adaptability to spend a couple of hours each weekend dedicated to helping with the children.
Responsibilities:
The Housekeeper will be responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of the main home and guest house – mainly covering the common and guest spaces throughout the home. (There is another full-time housekeeper and cleaning duties will be divided between the two, except on the days/times the other housekeeper is off.)
Daily responsibilities:
- Cleaning and tidying of rooms and common spaces.
- Deep cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, countertops, floors, and sinks.
- Dusting surfaces, baseboards, moldings, light fixtures, cabinets, walls, ceilings, and more.
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
- Tidying occupants’ bedrooms, including making beds and putting away clothes/toys.
- Cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces.
- Washing dishes, glasses, utensils, and other barware.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all closets, cabinets, and drawers.
- Monitoring household supplies and ensuring that all necessary items, such as cleaning supplies, toiletries, and household items, are stocked and replenished when needed.
- Preparing guest rooms for visitors.
- Cleaning and dusting outdoor areas.
- Occasional errands and grocery shopping.
- Ensuring the safety and security of the home by locking doors and windows and also utilizing the alarm system.
As needed responsibilities:
- Laundry and Ironing: helping with washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens (mainly pool towels as the rest is, for the most part, the responsibility of the other housekeeper on staff).
- Pet Care: Assisting with pet care, including feeding, walking, and cleaning up after dog.
- Special Projects / Events: Assisting with seasonal cleaning or events including household gatherings and get-togethers.
- Deep cleaning of the kitchen only as needed– primarily cleaned by other staff.
Childcare: Could be anywhere from 5 to 15 hours per week on Saturday or Sunday, as needed. This would be dedicated time for the children, no cleaning done at this time. Responsibilities could include:
- Oversight of the kids during get togethers.
- Driving children to and from activities, playdates, sports, friends’ houses, etc.
- Babysitting Saturday night.
- Getting the little one up from his nap and playing with him.
- Help preparing dinner for the kids on Saturday night.
Qualifications:
Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience working as a housekeeper in a very busy, private estate. Prior experience in a role requiring interaction with children in a professional capacity is a plus.
Skills / Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail – able to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout the home.
- Excellent communication skills – able to work effectively and seamlessly with other staff members and household occupants.
- Professional – discrete, and respectful of the privacy and security of the household and its occupants.
- Tech savvy – able to access cleaning guidelines and daily tasks on a household management app.
- Cleaning experience – knowledge of best cleaning products and how to apply them.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules to accommodate the family’s needs and special occasions.
- Physical ability – able to perform the necessary cleaning and maintenance duties, including lifting and moving heavy objects, using step ladders, standing for extended periods of time, agility up and down stairs and throughout property.
- Education – high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education or training in housekeeping or hospitality is a plus.
- Fluent in English – written and oral.
