Overview
A young growing family in Miami Beach is seeking a full-time nanny/mother's helper to assist with their 2.5-year-old son (who is in school full-time) and new baby, who was born 10 weeks premature but is now healthy and thriving after recently coming home from the NICU. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 7am-3pm, with flexibility for occasional date nights.
Responsibilities
- Bottle-feeding and caring for the newborn
- Preparing meals for the toddler, and for the infant in the future.
- Managing laundry for the children
- Performing light housekeeping tasks- keeping common areas tidy and assisting with kitchen cleanup, etc.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Experience working with infants and toddlers (experience working with newborns would be extremely helpful)
- Warm and nurturing, and the ability to balance of kindness and fun with discipline and structure
- Passionate about childcare- consider nannying to be a career
- Inquisitive and knowledgeable about childhood development, but willing to defer to parental wishes around childrearing
- Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet
- Collaborative and able to work as a team with involved parents
Requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification
- US work authorization
- Up-to-date vaccinations (Records of Flu and Covid vaccine for 2024/2025 season, TDAP, TB blood test negative)
- Excellent references from prior families
- Driver's license and clean driving record- the nanny can use their own car or the family car for work use
- Local to Miami Beach- the family is not willing to relocate
Salary and Benefits
- $30-35/hr.
- PTO and paid holidays
- Open to providing a health stipend
