A private female individual is looking to hire two rotational CNAs/Companions to provide daily assistance. The ideal candidates must demonstrate patience, kindness, and energy. Duties will encompass a variety of tasks, including:
- Assist with all personal care, administering medications and providing day to day care and assistance
- Bathing & Dressing assistance, assisting with these daily routines, personal hygiene, and domestic tasks.
- Provide a positive, safe and nurturing environment
- Liaise and communicate regularly with other family members; assist with outgoing and incoming correspondence.
- Assist with grocery shopping and supply procurement, running special errands, etc.
- light cooking skills desired
- driving to and from Dr’s appointments
- Assist with Dog care of a small dog, including feeding and walking.
This position is for two ROTA full-time live-in caretakers. The ideal candidates must have a high level of flexibility when it comes to working hours and scheduling. The principal resides in Hobe Sound, FL from September to June, and then in Connecticut from July to September. You will be expected to live in both locations. The job will require working 3 or 4 overnights per rotational week. During the summer months in Connecticut, the schedule will involve working two weeks on and two weeks off. This role involves collaborating with another full-time caretaker to provide round-the-clock care and assistance. The family values honesty, trust, and adaptability above all else. The salary offered is competitive and will be based on your level of experience (DOE). Interviews will be conducted promptly. The start date is October 16, 2024 in Hobe Sound, FL.
Ideal candidates must be located in South Florida and open to residing in the area, working 3 or 4 overnights every rotational week. Upon completion of their shift, they will return to their personal accommodations in South Florida.
Requirements
- Registered CNA preferred
- Must love dogs
- Excellent references required from current and previous employers
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be energetic, efficient, and hardworking
- Strong command of the English language
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and non-verbal
- Experience with Alzheimer’s is a plus.
