On behalf of our private client, we are looking for a Live-in Dog Hander/Houseman in Kensington.
In this role you would be part of a 3-man team, working on a Rota basis, looking after a total of 5 Weimaraner dogs.
Weimaraners are active and energetic dogs, who require lots of daily exercise. The ideal handler will therefore be in excellent fitness form, and have great knowledge of central London, as they will be out and about often.
It is essential for the Handler to be used to living with dogs 24/7, and looking after them in a professional capacity.
This role would especially suit ex-police/military personnel, or Country Estate Managers (provided they have the required experience with dogs).
Flexibility is required for this role, you must be happy to travel internationally for up to 6 months of the year, drive worldwide, be switched on, organised, and experienced.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- 5 Weimaraner dogs - two older and three of their puppies
- Dog handling/caring/extensive walking/feeding
- Travelling up to 6 months of the year, globally
- Drive worldwide
- Occasional ad-hoc jobs for the Principals
Ideal candidate:
- Must be used to living with dogs and happy to share the apartment with 2/3 of them
- Possess a great teamwork attitude, as well as flexibility to travel often
- Ideal background: police/military or Estate Managers with extensive experience handling large dogs in a professional capacity
- Must possess a clean UK Driving licence
Work days: rotas, to be defined, covering weekdays and weekends.
Accommodation: The apartment is for sole use, and will be shared with 2/3 dogs. All bills and costs are covered.
Salary: £65-70k gross per annum, negotiable
Start date: ASAP
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
