Overview
A kind, caring, and friendly family are seeking a newborn care specialist to help with their second child, who was born 6 weeks early, and is now 12-weeks-old. The family are currently staying in Greenwich, CT but will be traveling within the US in the coming weeks. The candidate should ideally be available from the week beginning September 30th until the family travels home to Puerto Rico November 1st. The mom is very hands-on and the family has the support of their nanny/family assistant who will also be traveling with them.
The ideal candidate would be positive, friendly, personable, able to read a room and know when the family wants to spend time together, but also comfortable when everyone is around, as the family likes to work as a team.
Responsibilities
- Supporting mum as she is exclusively breastfeeding and would like to continue to do so
- Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
- Implementing an effective sleep routine that mom can follow once the term ends
- Sleep conditioning baby so that baby is ideally sleeping through the night by the end of the contract term
- Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby care while respecting the family’s personal preferences
Qualifications
- Be able to offer mom advice on lactation
- Must have at least 10 years' verifiable experience working as a newborn care specialist
- Must have experience working nights
Requirements
- The candidate should be able to provide excellent references
- US passport, Green Card or EAC
- COVID vaccinated, and up to date on Flu/RSV/Tdap and MMR vaccinations
- Passport ready and willing to travel
- Available to start October 1st 2024 and commit to at least November 1st 2024, possibly longer
Salary and Benefits
- The family are offering between $400-$600 per day, depending on experience
