Overview
Two fun loving first-time dads with a zest for life are seeking a full-time, long-term, polished career nanny for their infant son. They currently have two newborn care specialists. One will be leaving in November and the second one will stay on as needed. The family is based in TriBeCa and have homes in East Hampton and abroad. The candidate will be expected to accompany the family when traveling. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm, however flexibility will be required. This is a live-out position, but the family will consider live-in initially while exact needs are being determined. The ideal candidate will be energetic, engaging, and have a true passion and enthusiasm for children and their care and development. Relocation is not being offered.
Responsibilities
All aspects of full-charge care from infancy and beyond including but limited to;
- Collaboratively working with NCS and family
- Always ensure well-being and safety of child
- Provide support in a positive and engaging manner
- Maintain all schedules including sleeping and feeding
- Sleep training
- Meal plan/prep/food weaning
- Child-related housekeeping duties such as laundry, organization, and sterilization of bottles
- Pack/unpack and all travel related planning and prep
- Engage in playtime activities indoors and out
- Incorporate age-appropriate educational activities, games, and instruction
- Modeling and assist with developmental milestones
- Provide a stimulating and nurturing environment
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role with full-charge care beyond infancy
- Understanding of infant/child development and ability to recognize and respond to child’s needs
- Reliable, responsible, and resourceful
- Ability to travel for extensive periods of time domestically and internationally
- Creative, intelligent, and adaptable
- Warm, friendly, and positive personality
- Ability to provide structure and consistency in a loving and kind manner
- Thoughtful problem solver who takes initiative
Requirements
- Passport ready and available to travel
- Current CPR certification
- Strong command of the English language with excellent communication skills
- Current vaccinations – MMR, Tdap
- Energetic and active with strong stamina
- A degree in early childhood education or nursing, the ability to swim and drive are Pluses, but are not required
- Must be pet friendly and okay around cats
Salary and Benefits
The family is offering $40+ an hour depending on experience and flexibility with schedule, metro card, medical stipend, and PTO.
