Overview
A lovely family of five living in TriBeCa, NY is seeking a full-time housekeeper/nanny to assist with care of their home and children. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 7am-5pm. There will be other caregivers to help with the afternoon shuffle.
Responsibilities
- Household cleaning, including deep cleaning, tidying, and sanitizing
- Family laundry- clothing and linens
- Family cooking- preparing dinner several times per week and cleaning up afterwards
- Disposing of trash, opening boxes and deliveries and breaking down boxes for service area
- Making beds and changing linens for bedrooms and bathrooms
- Shopping for groceries and other household supplies
- Organizing closets, toys, and kitchen shelves and cabinets
- Communicating with the family about any issues or household needs
- Childcare including accompanying to school and other activitie, occasionally hosting or accompanying him to playdates
Qualifications
- Experience and comfort working with or around children
- Looking for a long-term commitment; the family would like to find someone to be with the family for many years
- Proactive and able to prioritize household and childcare duties
- Meticulous and detail-oriented (the family is very conscious of cleanliness, and requires someone who is willing to sanitize household items regularly)
- Comfortable working with a very involved work-from-home mother and other staff
- Calm, patient, and warm with children
Requirements
- Long-term experience in previous roles
- Swimming and driving are NOT required, but would be a bonus
- Comfortable navigating children around the city
- Basic COVID vaccine is required
Salary and Benefits
- $35/hr. - $45/hr
- Two weeks PTO, plus paid holidays
