Overview
A lovely family near the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan with two young school-aged children is seeking a nanny to start this fall. The schedule will be Monday from 10am to 8pm, Tuesday through Thursday from 12pm to 8pm, and Fridays from 12pm to 6pm (a total of 40 hours). The family spends some long weekends and each summer outside of the city in Long Island, so the nanny would need to be open to joining them for the summer during weekdays.
Responsibilities
- Full childcare of both children including caring for and engaging the children in a developmentally appropriate way and keeping their lives running smoothly
- Taking the children to and from activities, homework help, and keeping their spaces and belongings neat and tidy with light housekeeping tasks
- Meal prep and cooking children's meals
- Grocery shopping and errands
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate is engaging, warm, honest, and energetic.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and who has impeccable communication skills
- Driving skills would be ideal but not essential
Requirements
- Experience with this age group
- Must be flexible to shift hours in case one or both children is home from school.
- Confident swimmer and able to supervise children in and around water
Salary and Benefits
The pay range offered is $30-$35 per hour. Benefits such as PTO, sick days, and a MetroCard will be provided.
