Overview
A family in Miami Beach is seeking an educated ROTA nanny to join their nanny team in caring for their 3-year-old twins. The schedule will be 1 week on/1 week off, with flexibility to switch this up from time to time in order to cover the other nannies if they are sick/on vacation, etc.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the toddlers’ safety and well-being at all times
- Work as a team and in harmony with the other nannies, and foster a positive and supportive work environment, where everyone contributes
- Spend time with the children in an educational/learning capacity each day
- Instill discipline, etiquette and clear boundaries - this family does agree with time-outs, so only those candidates who align with this childcare approach should apply
- Ensure that the children keep to their daily routine
- Prepare simple, healthy meals for the toddlers
- Be confident driving the toddlers to school (where they are enrolled 5 days per week) and local activities
- Design a schedule of activities (inside and outside the home) that foster creativity, help them master fine and gross motor skills, language, numbers etc., and generally ensure they are on track and challenged developmentally.
Qualifications
- Must have at least 5-10 years' verifiable experience working in a similar role, with superlative references
- Candidates must ideally either have a formal teaching background or at least have verifiable teaching experience that they can draw upon
- Well organized, type-A personalities would thrive best in this role
Requirements
- US passport, Green Card or EAC
- Passport ready and willing to travel (the family spend June, July and August in New York)
- Available to start ASAP
