Overview
A busy family with one infant is seeking a long-term travel ready nanny to join them at their home base in Calgary (Canada) and during their travel. The preferred start date is August 23 but they may be flexible for an earlier or later start. The schedule for this role will be 5 days on and 2 days off with the potential to become rotational in the future.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the baby is on a feeding routine; the baby is currently taking both formula and breast milk
- Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
- Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby care while respecting the family’s personal preferences
- Encourage healthy sleep habits and follow safe sleep guidelines
- Light housekeeping related to the baby (his laundry, bottle-washing, etc.) when time allows
- Introducing solids, adapting the sleep schedule, and keeping up with milestones as he grows
Qualifications
- Experience with premature babies
- Age-appropriate engagement of the baby that encourages meeting of developmental milestones including walks outside, playing music, and reading to baby
- Knowledgeable and supportive, able to guide new parents
- Ideal candidate can step right in and see what needs to be done while offering recommendations and advice in a kind way
- Flexible, polite with good manners, discreet, and professional
- Driver's license and clean driving record (ideally candidate drives but not required)
Requirements
- Russian or Ukrainian speaking
- Must have at least 5 years' verifiable experience working with infants
- US passport, Green Card or EAC OR Canadian passport
- Up to date on Flu/RSV/Tdap and MMR vaccinations
- Passport ready and willing to travel, if required
- Experience working in a fully-staffed home
- Comfort with a dog in the home
- Willing to relocate to Canada (relocation package offered)
