Overview
A fun and warm family in North Carolina is looking for a temp nanny to accompany them on a trip from Raleigh, NC to Disney World (FL) September 30-October 3. The family has one infant who will be 13-months-old at the time. The approximate schedule for the trip is as follows:
- Sept 30: Assist with travel from Raleigh to Orlando and helping the family get settled in the hotel
- Oct 1: Day at one of the parks. Nanny would accompany family to the park for a few hours. When it is close to naptime, return to the hotel and the nanny will stay with her at the resort for the rest of the day and evening, while parents return to the park in the afternoon and go to dinner. Approximate hours for the nanny on this day would be 9am-9pm
- Oct 2: Nanny to stay with child at the resort while the parents are out, approximate work hours 8am-4pm
- Oct 3: Assist with travel back to Raleigh
Responsibilities
- This temp position would entail flying with the family from Raleigh, NC to Orlando and back again and helping with the baby on the flights
- Accompanying the family to the hotel, helping set-up the room and unpack their things
- Engaging with and overseeing the safety of the child, and helping with snacks, meals, bath, and bedtime routines
- Accompanying the family in the park one of the days and entertaining the child at the resort one of the other days (on-site playground, pool, going for a walk, etc.)
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate is proactive, energetic, organized, positive, and experienced with this age
- Water safe and competent swimmer (ideal)
- Able to do a trip with the family to New Jersey earlier in the month (see KH027) would be ideal but not required
- Familiarity with Disney World is a plus but not required
Requirements
• Experienced traveling with nanny families and children this age • Comfortable putting in and taking out hearing aids; their daughter was born with moderate hearing loss and requires hearing aids to hear well • Impeccable communication skills including clear speech to aid in their daughter's development• Candidates must be First Aid and CPR certified• Must be *currently* local to North Carolina OR FL area• US Passport, Green Card, or EAC
Salary and Benefits
- Hourly rate of $30-35 per hour
- The family will provide a separate nanny room at the hotel, pay for all the travel expenses (including 1 day park ticket for Oct 1), and meals
