Overview
A sweet growing family of three on the Upper West Side is seeking a fantastic Spanish-speaking nanny to care for their toddler, and infant due in October. The family will have a Newborn Care Specialist until December, at which point the nanny will be responsible for care of both children. The general schedule for this role will be Monday through Friday, 45-50 hours per week- the hours are not totally set, but will likely be 7:30am-6:30pm with a shorter day each week.
Responsibilities
- Care for a busy toddler and 3-month old infant
- Planning creative and engaging activities and outings
- Maintaining nap and feeding schedules
- Working with mom to coordinate children's meals, including baby food as the infant grows
- Child-related laundry
- Keeping children's rooms organized and tidy, and maintaining cleanliness of common areas- family housekeeping is NOT required
Qualifications
- Proactivity- the family is looking for someone who does not need to be micromanaged
- Willingness to work with parents who are in and out throughout the day- both parents are self employed and will spend time in the home
- Ability to balance maintaining schedule and boundaries with an easygoing environment
- Playful and kind
Requirements
- Spanish speaking
- Ability to handle working in a townhouse with flights of stairs
- Experience working in NYC as a nanny- the family is looking for someone comfortable and familiar with getting around the city with children
- Experience working with an infant and toddler simultaneously
- Flexible for changes to the schedule as mom returns to work and adjusts to the new baby
Salary and Benefits
- $35-40/hr.
