Overview
A busy and loving new family of 3 is in search of a temporary nanny for their 6-month-old daughter for 8 weeks, from July 15th through September 15th (with option to extend if desired, but not necessary). Separate housing (like an Airbnb) will be provided or subsidized, but a local candidate could live-out. Due to the nature of the parent’s busy summer schedule, the ideal candidate will have flexibility of hours, is able to offer a mix of days and nights (with an occasional 24-hour shift), and is willing to easily adapt to the ever-changing circumstances in terms of what is needed and when during the 8 week period. 40 hours will be guaranteed each week. Ideally the candidate would work 5-6 days a week including Saturdays. Preferred day(s) off would be taken Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. Start times would vary from 7am-9am and will typically be 8 hours with the option to work a night shift here and there. The family is willing to be flexible with hours and discuss different options with the right candidate. Ultimately, flexibility of availability would be helpful on behalf of the candidate with the basis of the position being 6 days a week with minimum 7 hour days.
Responsibilities
- Care and engagement of their 6-month-old daughter
- Management of baby laundry, keeping of the nursery, and light housekeeping in shared spaces
- Help with meal prep and purées for baby
Qualifications
- Active and engaging, willing to take the baby on walks and to the park and some events with the parents
- A can-do attitude that is willing to chip in and assist with whatever is needed
- Someone experienced with infants in this age group
Requirements
- Prior professional experience with this age (6-12 months)
- Legal to work in the US
- Ability to work the entirety of the 8-week term
- Valid driver's license
