Overview
A lovely family in Hillsborough, CA is seeking a ROTA nanny to join their team caring for their 3 children, ages 10-years-old, and twin 5-year-olds. This position starts as soon as they find the right candidate. This is a live-out position, and the general schedule will be 7am-8pm, on a 7-day on/off rotation. Flexibility might be needed for night-time coverage and longer travel on occasion. The family is currently giving priority to candidates who are local to Hillsborough, CA, or within an easy daily commute. They are open to considering a relocation, if the candidate has spent time in the Bay Area and is comfortable and familiar with the area.
Responsibilities
- Overall childcare when on shift
- School drop offs and pick-ups
- Taking to after-school activities
- Coordinating with parents, and other staff
- Planning age-appropriate and developmental activities, play dates, and outings
- Coordinating schedules for naps and meals, activities, and travel
- Preparing snacks and meals
- Managing the tidiness and organization of child spaces and belongings
- Child-related duties around the home when the children are at school - tracking and stocking inventory of children's supplies, meal/snack prep, organization projects, etc
- Coordinating with the other nanny to create cohesive and consistent care
Qualifications
- Positive attitude
- Honest
- Friendly and warm
- An educational background in Child Development/ECE or other relevant field is a huge plus
- Organizational skills, family assistant experience
- Driven - ability to take the initiative to get things done without having to be asked
- Outgoing, but not overly loud
- Able to read the room and step back when needed
- Someone who can get silly and fun with kids, but set mindful boundaries with them and maintain routine
- Able to take direction if needed
Requirements
- A degree is preferred, either 4 year degree, or 2 year.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record - Nanny car provided (experience driving a Tesla is a bonus!)
- Travel ready - the family has a second home a couple hours away and spends time there. Vacations on all school breaks.
- Strong communicator
- This is a fully staff house, must have a team mentality, and prior experience working on a team
- Energetic and able to keep the momentum, energy level, and positivity throughout your shift
- This is a Semi-Formal home - must be able to be warm and friendly, while maintaining professional boundaries
- Ability to swim and confident in the water with children
- Infant/child CPR and First-Aid certified, or willing to certify
- Must be Trustline registered or willing to register
- Valid passport
- Legal to work in the US
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range is $125k-$150k, based on experience
