Overview
A family in Greenwich, CT is seeking a temporary nanny to ideally begin this Wednesday or Thursday and live-in for 1 week until next Wednesday. The family has two working parents and 3 older boys ages 14, 12, and 10. The bulk of care will be on Monday and Tuesday next week when sole charge care for their 14-year-old and 10-year-old is needed as the Mother will be traveling for the 12-year-old's ski race. There is 1 cat in the home and some cat oversight would be great to have as well.
What the proposed training/working schedule will be during this time:
- Thursday the 30th: 5pm-9pm (4 hours). After kids are in bed it's free time.
- Friday: 7am-9am (2 hours). Learn where school is, morning routine.
- Saturday 2-3 hours at will, split between morning and evening. Feed cat, ensure cat is inside and safe, lock and safeguard house while parents are not home.
- Sunday 2-3 hours at will, split between morning and evening. Feed cat, ensure cat is inside and safe, lock and safeguard house while parents are not home.
- Monday: 6:30am-8:30am - on duty for getting to school. 3pm-9pm - on duty for school pickup, dinner, and bedtime. This is not constant "on time". 8 hours total approximately.
- Tuesday: 6:30am-8:30am - on duty for getting to school. 3pm-9pm - on duty for school pickup, dinner, and bedtime. This is not constant "on time". 8 hours total approximately.
- The sleeping hours in the home are approximately 9:30pm - 6:30am; when the care provider is the only adult in the home with the children she will have to stay in the home with them even though she is not "working" per se.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include:
- Getting children safely to/from school and activities
- Making healthy breakfast, snacks and dinner
- Lightly supervising the children as needed (they are very self sufficient with workouts and homework)
- Clean kitchen and common areas as needed (usually 3 times per day)
- Lite laundry for the kids as needed
- Lite housekeeping to tidy up as needed
- Anything other responsibilities are a bonus
- The goal for the family during this time:
- Ensure safety of the children and pet while the parents are traveling
- Be a responsible authoritative figure
- Be a safe driver and maintain the family's regular school schedule
- Assume an authoritative role with active teenagers as the adult in the home

Salary and Benefits
- They are flexible on offering a flat weekly rate or daily rate, candidates will be asked upon applying what their weekly and/or daily rate is
